Flirsch am Arlberg
Here we are at home!
The well-groomed village of Flirsch at 1,157 meters is embedded in the western high Alps in the Stanzertal between Landeck and St. Anton am Arlberg. The name derives from the Rhaeto-Romanic word for flowers. In addition to the parish church of St. Bartholomew from the 14th century, visits to the Lourdes chapel and the traditional carving are worthwhile. The noble municipal office in Flirsch was once the manorial villa of the Draxl family of industrialists. The space in front of it was dedicated to the slalom world champion and Olympic champion Mario Matt, who was born in Flirsch.
In winter, the Arlberg Ski Pass entitles you to enjoy and explore the entire Arlberg ski area (St. Anton, Lech, Zürs and Stuben). With the hub of skiing just 12km away and free ski buses every 15 minutes it is a perfect place to holiday.
