Skiing
The Arlberg region is a paradise for skiers and snowboarders and is one of the most snow-sure regions in the Alps. With over 300 kilometers of slopes and modern lifts, St. Anton am Arlberg offers the best conditions. The largest interconnected ski area in Austria is one of the top 5 in the world and is only 12 km away and can be reached by free ski buses that run every 15 minutes. Enjoy perfectly groomed pistes, varied descents and an impressive mountain panorama.
Off the slopes
The region also has a lot to offer away from the slopes. The 40-kilometre network of trails in Tyrol, which has been awarded the cross-country quality seal, offers both leisurely and sporty cross-country skiing options.
Experience tobogganing fun for young and old! Choose between the 4.3 km long, floodlit natural toboggan run Gampen – Nasserein in St. Anton and the 2 km long, floodlit natural toboggan run Pettneu, which leads to the village center. 70 km of winter hiking trails are cleared for our guests, leading to Verwalltal, Nasserein or St. Jakob am Arlberg.
Hiking & biking
The vacation region lies in the middle of a fantastic mountain backdrop, nestled in the Lechtal Alps and Verwall Group, and is ideal for long hikes. The 110-kilometer network of trails has been awarded the Tyrolean Hiking Seal of Quality. Our guests can use the hiking bus between Landeck and St. Anton am Arlberg free of charge with the St. Anton – Sommercard.
However, the region is just as easy to explore by bike or mountain bike. The Stanzertal cycle path along the Rosanna is ideal for families. Mountain bikers will find a variety of routes in Flirsch: leisurely trails through meadows and forests, easy climbs for sporty riders and steep routes for pros. More than 200 kilometers of official mountain bike routes make the region a first-class biking area.
